John McGlone

John McGlone joined the Board of Directors of Mohawk Valley Collective in 2013. He served the MVC through the Summer of 2014, acting as Secretary. While globally experienced, John describes himself as locally rooted and passionately committed to leveraging assets of the Mohawk Valley region and contributing to its future. He also joined the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Industrial Development Agency in 2013.
Originally from Long Island, New York, John and his wife Michelle, reside at Valley View Farm, a historic farm in Palatine Bridge that is listed on the National Register. Since March of 2014, he has been retired from the Global Product Services Division of the IBM Corporation where he held the post of Global Offering Leader, Human Services.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York, in 1989 with a B.A. in Special Studies. He worked for American Express Company until 1992 as Manager of Employee Benefits and at Bankers Trust Company, Nashville, TN, Buck Consultants, Inc., Secaucus, NJ, and Hewitt Associates, LLC, Lincolnshire, IL, before joining IBM.
John is a member and strong supporter of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Fort Plain. For fun, he enjoys collecting antiques, learning the history of the Mohawk Valley and making furniture.
